Real friends are forever.
In this time of that horrible tragedy, your christian love is generating more confidence in your dedication to God’s work and people. Thanks to your prayers and your distinctive contribution to the efforts that are being made to help the earthquake victims, the yoke laid on our shoulders is being easier to bear. In this time of tears, trouble, despair and sufferings, the impact of your caring relationship is an empowering force that shows, more than words, your motivation and determination to be a care giver and to reach out to people in need with constant desire to serve. God is taking note of that. I pray and hope that HE will continue to provide you with every necessary talent and mean to keep staying the His faithful servant and perfect care giver HE wants you to be so that you will always be uplifted by HIS grace and love in order to continue you acts of relating and caring.
Four West Virginian (Jeff, Grayson, Joe and Ted) came to see us be and find out how they can be of greater help to our survivors and refugies. They took a lot of pictures that they are going to share with the FFL. Jeff and his son Grayson left yesterday. Ted and Joe are leaving today at noon.
This is an update of what we were able to do as to now in relation with our desire to miniter to the whole person:
- Bring back our refugies and give them some money to keep surviving
- Provide water to Fort Liberte by repairing the generators and buying diesel
- Offer consultation and medicines to all who need that. (The hospital can hardly do it)
- Help families who receive survivors
- Provide ways for the church supervisors to meet some urgent needs (petty cash)
- Rent some rooms for students and other victims who do not have relatives in Ft. Liberte
- Try every new day, sometimes poorly, to meet people at their point of need spiritual, physical, economical, safety, etc .
There is a lot to do and every new day come with its own burden. We pray that you will always have Christ in You. I know that HIS love will never quit, even when the going gets rough.
With grateful thanks, best wishes and kind regards.
Faithfully yours in His love and service,
Andre Jean, pastor of the Jerusalem Baptist Church
