03.04.10 Medical Trip Update

Below is an update from Junior Mesamours who is working with our medical missions team this week in Ft. Liberte.

Hello,

Yesterday we had a scary day here at the clinic. One 15 yr old girl has pneumonia and asthma, her medical history says she used to have sickle cell, though we don’t see any sickling cell in her test. She was short of breath, there was nothing we could do for her in Fort-Liberte.  We took her to Milot in a taptap.  We were afraid she could die on the way, because she was breathing 40 to 50 per mn. Sonal, the doctor who was with her cried on the way to Milot for desperation.  We kept giving her shots and IV fluid.  Fortunately God kept her alive until we got there. The scary day ended up in satisfaction. The Lord is faithful. But the point is she probably would die if she was not in good hands. Praise God.
