Below is an update from Debbie Chapman. John and Debbie made it to Ft. Liberte on Sunday. They are in the process of adopting Lou Lou and Loudeline(a brother and sister from the King Orphanage). Debbie said on a Facebook update that they learned the real birthdays of Lou Lou and Loudeline. They were both born on April 9th. Lou Lou was born in 1994 and Loudeline was born in 1996. Their mother died in 1998 and their father died in 2005. They came to the King Orphanage in 2005.
On Monday they went to Port-au-Prince for the final review of the adoption request for Lou-Lou and Loudeline. The judge told them they need another document from the court in Ft. Liberte. Pastor Andre and others are working to get this and they are hoping to have it by Thursday.
Debbie’s email gives us a list of things to be praying about. Please take some time out of your day and do so.
Please pray for the clinic. It will be 100 degrees this week and that
is hard on those providing care. Pray for our wisdom in making
medical decisions. Pray for Les’s safe journey as he travels today.
Please pray for the adoption. We are working on the last document and if there will be questions about why this was not completed before the earthquake. Please pray for Wednesday’s mobile clinic in Cap Haitian. Especially remember our nurse pharmacists Priscilla and Angela. Most of all pray for the children of Haiti for strength and for the hope of a brighter future. There will be no change without that hope.
